Pivot Tables are a Powerful Tool to help you build your own reports at will; Comparing any data available in a table and export to extract and manage data in Excel or transfer information such as email addresses to Third Party services to help you build your email lists!

Access to the Pivot Tables is done right from your Dashboard.

    - Cardlis currently has the pivot tables sorted into 3 areas; Gift Cards, Loyalty Cards, Demographics

    - You Can only see information connected to your customers.  Cardlis Security keys block "cross contamination" of data, meaning you         will never see other merchant information.

Select "PIVOT TABLE" in the Database you would like to Search.

If you simply need a spreadsheet, you may select spreadsheet and use an Excel Style Spreadsheet right from your platform.

STEP 1

"CLICK TO CONFIGURE"

Loading a database could take a minute or two if your internet connection is slow,  Remember we are refreshing and loading all data to your system.

- Once the Database loads for you to manipulate the data, you will see a couple additional items.

    - Download, allows you to download the table you have created to your local machine for "Offline" access

    - Export, Opens the table in the Cardlis Hosted Excel table.  This is handy for merchants using a smartphone or a evice that does not         have access to excel.  After handling your table; you may save the results to your device.

    - Save Structure, Name & Save your current view (it will populate above the table next time you open the search).  Ensure that you reflect on your current time frame and update any date filter to

STEP 2

Add Fields to ANY Column, Row, Values or Field

You may add as many Fields to a "sector" as you wish.

Filters - Drag and Drop as many items as you wish to Filters.  A filter allows you to "Filter" data from the table.  As Example, By adding DOB (Date of Birth) to a filter you can omit items that do not fall within your selecte range.

Columns - Field name is at the top of a Table

Rows - Field name is at side of Table

Values - Is the "value" or items you are seeking in the Table.  If you have multiple Row or Column Fields,  Then you may have multiple values separated for each column or field match.  As Example, If you have AGE as a Column with DOB and EMAIL as values; You will have a DOB and EMAIL Value under Each Column Header.

STEP 3

Select Filter and Value Formats

FILTER FORMAT
"Click" the Transaction Date and in the Popup you will have options appear.  These options allow you to say how you want the filter to work.
Datepicker - Select a Date from a calendar
Multi-select  - Choose multiple dates
Date-range picker - choose items that fall within a date range

VALUE FORMAT

Value Formats are subject to the type of data you are searching. SUM - will show the sum (Total) for all items within the category

COUNT - Will show how many items are in the categroy

MAX - will show the Maximum Number

MIN - will show the minimum number

TEXT - Will show all numbers as they are recorded in Cardlis Databases

CARDLIS RECOMENDS ALWAYS USING TEXT FOR ANY FORMAT.  IT ALLOWS DATA TO BE LEFT "RAW", EASIER TO READ AND USE IN A SPREADSHEET. But of course you have many options to find information in a format you like

HINT: a Date (12/20/1987) will show as "1" if used in any format other then TEXT.

HINT: If you have Multiple "ROW" fields, then using SUM will add up all items...  if you wish to view individual values then format as TEXT
